Cherie's flowers are found in a quaint little cottage nestled amongst billowing ferns and beautiful daylilies of every color and hue. Cherie's Florist is located in the picturesque Central Louisiana town of Sunset, very near to the old southern Chretien Point Plantation where the grounds are filled with moss-laden oaks. Sunset lies in the "Cajun Heartland" where the Creole heritage is treasured and "Laissez Les Bon Temp Rouler" (Let The Good Times Roll!). Just take the Sunset/Grand Coteau Exit which is halfway between Lafayette and Opelousas and you're there!

Cherie's Florist is a family owned and operated business that takes pride in their outstanding designs. Mary Delambre, after retiring from nursing, pursued her life-long love. She has always had an exceptional creative ability and a definite affiliation with her flowers. Her expansive Daylily Gardens are prized in the community. Mary has been doing floral designs for over 13 years. Her dream came to fruition in January 1988 when she opened Cherie's Florist, named after her youngest daughter, Cherie. Her other daughter, June Walker, owns and operates Sunset Herb Gardens. Mary has a special gift that she has shared with her family.

Having the same love of flowers and dedication to excellence, Cynthia Smith joined Cherie's in January 1992. She manages Cherie's as well as handles the day-to-day running of the shop. Cynthia is now one of the senior designers. Mary's staff consists of 2 senior designers and 2 junior designers, all with the potential of becoming superior designers in their own rights.
